Potential Locations
Until now, when you wanted to analyse a new potential location, you would need to add it to your network and it would be a cannibalise all other existing locations, including other potential locations.
When you open your project now, you will see a new type of category: potential locations. When you add a potential location, it will behave as follows:
- Cannibalised results of a potential location will take into account all locations of the existing network but not other potential locations
- Existing network locations will not take any potential location into account for cannibalised results
- Full potential results are always equal, no matter if a location is potential or existing
If you want to see the impact of a potential location on your network, simply start an impact analysis for the location in question. The impact on its relevant neighbours from the existing network will now be shown.
Location Replacement Analysis
Thanks to the introduction of potential locations, you can now also do replacement analysis and answer the question: what is the impact of replacing 1 location with another one?
There are two paths to launch a replacement analysis:
- Select at least one potential location and at least one existing location on the map (by Ctrl + Clicking on it) or from the network table (by checking the checkbox on the table). Then choose the new option "Simulate replacement" from the selection menu bar.
- Open the context menu of an existing location by either clicking on its menu button or by right clicking it on the map. Then choose a potential location that it should be replaced by and click "Launch replacement analysis"
While in replacement analysis you can easily determine which locations are affected by the scenario, see the exact impact on their individual results and also check the overall impact of your scenario on the whole network.
Redesigned Location Detail Page
The location detail page now comes in a new, updated design and some changes to its layout.
First of all, there are no tabs anymore. All relevant results are conveniently displayed on one single page.
In addition to that, we now show the most important values in a bigger and easier to find way. As soon as your project has either a GEO-AI Score, a custom score or a thresholds set-up, you will now see the results of these indicators right at the top of the locations detail page.
All sections can now be collapsed and expanded, so you can focus on only the part of the analysis that is relevant to you in any given moment.
